The Jacha Avalanche is a mountain biking competition in the modality called "Hard" that begins with the group start "mass", this means that all competitors start at the same time or together. Before and after this race the trail is well maintained, offering the best options for mountain biking
A high altitude hike which offers incredible views of Illampu (6368m) and Ancohuma (6427m).
Laguna Glaciar (5200m) serves as base camp for those attempting to summit Ancohuma (6427m).
We left La Paz at 9 am and drove for two and a half hours to the Cumbre Loma Loma pass at 4248m. proceeding with the respective instructions to perform the activity of descent to the town of Sorata. The route is characterized by being a technical rocky trail that requires basic downhill experience. The descent has a parameter of 2 to 3 hours well enjoyed. At sunset we arrive in Sorata to enjoy a shower in the pool and a short walk through the caves of San Pedro We ended our day with a good dinner in the village of Sorata.
After a delicious breakfast we prepare the jeep with all the necessary equipment for and of course the bicycles to enjoy the second part of this exciting adventure.
We drive for 2 hours to the PASO CHUCHU 4700m. from where we will see the south face of the majestic ILLAMPU and the beautiful view of the Valley.
we will prepare our bicycles and we will start a descent on a path that crosses from the arid and rocky mountainous areas until we enter a hot valley until we reach the town of Sorata where we will celebrate having finished one of the most popular mountain bike routes in Bolivia.
In the afternoon we will return to the city of La PazAfter
